Create a trade-only OKX API key
Make an OKX key with Read and Trade only, a passphrase you set, and an account mode that allows futures.

Before you start
- Switch your account mode away from Spot mode (Futures, Multi-currency margin or Portfolio margin). The first switch is made on the website or app: trading page settings → Account mode.
- In some regions OKX asks for more than $100 in assets before you can create a key.
- EEA and US accounts use their own OKX sites; keys from there don't work on okx.com.
Create a key for live trading (Production)

Open API
Profile → API and connections → Create API key. In the app: menu → API → Create API key.

Name it and choose the use
Fill in the API key name, pick the account and set Used for to API trading.

Set permissions and a passphrase
Tick Read and Trade only, and set a Passphrase you'll remember. OKX can't show it again.

Verify and create
You get an API key and a SecretKey. Keep them with your passphrase.
Create a key for OKX Demo Trading (Demo)

Open Demo Trading
Log in → Trade → Demo Trading.

Create a demo API key
Personal Center → Demo Trading API → Create Demo Trading API Key, with Read and Trade and a passphrase.

Copy the key, secret and passphrase
A demo key only works in TradeSurge's Demo environment.

Removing the key
On OKX, open Profile → API, select the key and delete it.
In TradeSurge, open Copy trading, select the key under Broker connections and revoke it. The encrypted copy is deleted from our servers, not just switched off.
