Make a system-generated Bitget key with Read-Only and Trade, and a passphrase you set, on the website.
Updated October 12, 2026 · Exchange menus checked September 28, 2026
Coming soon. TradeSurge accepts Bybit keys today; this exchange opens once Breach Guard and copying have passed a demo run on it. The steps are here so you're ready.
Before you start
- Keys are managed on the Bitget website only; the app no longer creates them.
- For a sub-account, the main account has to allow it API Key Management first.
Create a key for live trading (Production)
- 01
Open API
On the website, hover your profile icon → API → Create API, and pick the account.
- 02
Choose System-generated
Pick System-generated API Key (HMAC). RSA keys aren't supported by TradeSurge.
- 03
Fill in the key
Add a note, set an API Passphrase, tick Read-Only and Trade only, then Next.
- 04
Verify
Enter the security codes Bitget asks for, then Confirm.
- 05
Copy the key, secret and passphrase
Bitget can't recover the passphrase later, so keep it with the key.
Create a key for Bitget Demo Trading (Demo)
- 01
Switch to Demo Trading
Log in, then top menu Futures → Demo Trading.
- 02
Create a demo key
Personal Center → API Key Management → Create a Demo API Key, with Read-Only and Trade and a passphrase.
- 03
Copy the key, secret and passphrase
Bitget's docs say demo trading needs identity verification.
Tick
- Tick: Read-Only
- Tick: Trade (futures orders)
Leave off
- Leave off: Withdraw
- Leave off: Transfer
- Leave off: Anything under Wallet
Removing the key
On the Bitget website, open API Management and delete the key.
In TradeSurge, open Copy trading, select the key under Broker connections and revoke it. The encrypted copy is deleted from our servers, not just switched off.
