Risk disclosure
The risks of trading, and what software can and can't do about them.

Trading carries a high risk of loss
Crypto derivatives such as perpetual futures are leveraged and volatile. You can lose more than you expect, quickly, and in some cases more than the margin you put up. Only trade with money you can afford to lose. Past results, including results shown in examples on this website, don't predict future ones.
Prop firm accounts have their own risks
- A firm can end an evaluation or a funded account when a rule is broken, often immediately and without a refund of the fee.
- Firms set and change their own rules, including how they measure drawdown and whether copying between accounts is allowed. Their measurement is final, even when it differs from your exchange or from TradeSurge.
- Payouts depend on the firm's terms and on the firm's ability to pay.
What TradeSurge can and can't do
- Breach Guard is a safety net, not a guarantee. It acts on our servers every few seconds. A gap in price, an exchange outage, a rejected order, network latency or our own downtime can mean it acts late or not at all.
- Copy trading reproduces losses as well as gains. A follower can fill at a different price than the leader, or not fill at all, and sizes round down.
- Calculations depend on your inputs. Limits, balances and rules you enter, or that a firm changes without telling you, affect every number we show.
- Surge Copilot gives information, not advice. Its answers can be wrong or incomplete. Check anything important in your exchange and your firm's dashboard.
What you can do
- Keep a stop loss at the exchange on every position, so it holds even if TradeSurge can't act.
- Start new copy groups in dry run, and go live only when the copies look right.
- Size in R from your actual limits, and leave room for fees and slippage.
- Check your firm's rules regularly and update them in the app when they change.
TradeSurge is not a broker and never holds your funds. By using it you accept these risks. More detail is in the terms of service.
